How to organise your child's medical and school records
Last reviewed 2026-09-24
How should I keep my child's medical records?
Keep one place for the birth certificate, vaccination card, prescriptions, lab reports, growth measurements, allergies and school report cards — ideally a private digital vault backed up and accessible from your phone.
What to keep
- Birth certificate, Aadhaar, passport
- Vaccination card
- Prescriptions and lab/scan reports
- Allergies and blood group
- Height/weight log
- School report cards and admission documents
Tips
- Scan papers the day you get them
- Name files by date and type
- Share only with doctors or schools that need them
- Set reminders for the next vaccine or check-up
